If you have surfed the Internet, you undoubtedly have an idea of what Web pages are and have seen some of their capabilities and limitations. However, merely using the World Wide Web will not give you an understanding of how these pages are created. HTML 4.01: Web Authoring, a 3-day course, presents the basics through advanced features of this foundational Web technology and enables you to create your own functional pages. This course covers such topics as: create a simple Web page, add structure to content, create links to Web pages, modify the appearance of text, create a data table, position content on a Web page by using tables, create links used to navigate and communicate, separate the stylistic elements of a Web page from its structure and apply Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) formatting to those elements, create Web forms, add dynamic content to a Web page, modify hypertext links to extend their power and flexibility, enhance the organization, functionality, and appearance of Web forms, create and format data tables that load faster than tables with “traditional” structure elements and are more accessible to non-visual browsers. You will also enhance the visual distinction between table rows and columns by modifying table borders, position content on a Web page using frames, prepare a site to be published on the Web.
